Website Socaholidays.com is managed by Somapro d.o.o., a Slovenian company established from Eduard and Mitja, who both have many years of experience in the vacation rental industry. “Socaholidays” serves as the designated brand for marketing and commercial needs.

In 2004 Eduard and his wife Jana moved with their children from the Netherlands to the Soca Valley, where Jana was born and raised. Eduard is a psychologist and worked in Human Resources. Jana is a professional artist and enjoys mentoring painter groups. She is also a certified real estate agent.

Since 2004 they developed many properties for themselves and for their clients. They are also able to offer an advice service about buying a valley property and project management support for larger or smaller building redevelopment projects. With a certification as real estate agent they are able to help you buy and sell property. They own Maharac with the apartments Kolovrat, Matajur, Krn, the Soca-penthouse and Kuninez.

Mitja grew up in Most na Soci where his parents have started to rent apartments since 1992. Through the years the Taljat family arranged 3 apartments in Most na Soci and Mitja became more and more involved in managing it. Mitja is a Bachelor of Economics and has many years of international business experience from working as a key account and area sales manager of a successful local company. He knows very well the Soča valley, the community and also local bureaucracy.

In 2021 Eduard and Mitja decided to work closer together. They both believe that to be successful in the fast developing vacation rental industry, a professional work, effective organisation and use of the best available vacation rental software and technical solutions are needed. 

Today the Socaholidays team includes people with different expertise which adress practically all the aspects of vacation rentals business. The Socaholidays company helps local and foreign owners to successfuly manage and rent their houses and apartments in the Soča valley. They currently manage 30 accommodation, 165 beds and more than 600 bookings per year.
