In and around the Soca Valley there are many places with historical value from more than 6000 years ago, from the medieval era and of course from the First World War. Many routes are well described.
Some very known sights are Javorca, the church built in the WW1, the Italian charnel house in Kobarid, the German ossuary, the WW1 outdoor museum on Kolovrat, the museum on the Mengore Hill, the Tonocov Grad Hill near Kobarid (historical trail) where there are remains of settlements from the copper age.
We have two well known museums, the Tolmin museum and of course World War 1 museum in Kobarid.
We or the Local Tourist Offices in Tolmin and Kobarid are happy to help/advise you to make good choices on what to visit!
